In the Light of Christ is devoted to representing a thoughtful, traditional Orthodox Christian witness in the growing world of online Orthodoxy. The blog is established in memory of two devout lay elders, Michael and Raphael, who taught us so very much about the Faith and were models of Christ-centered lives. It will focus on providing what I hope will be edifying material as well as commentary on current events in the life of the Church. The site will also be dedicated to the writings of St. Justin Popovich, the great Serbian Father of the Church and witness in our day. 

I am a retired educator and an avid reader of Church history and the Fathers. I taught the adult catechism classes at my local parish and also speak to young adult groups. My joys are family, friends, reading, hiking and travel. I am blessed with a wonderful wife, five beautiful children and a grandson.
